Sherene Strausberg - Designer

Sherene is an interdisciplinary graphic designer skilled in online media, print and package design, with a background in music and sound. From 2002-2010 she resided in Los Angeles writing music for documentary and feature films while working full-time as a broadcast engineer for National Public Radio.

In 2007, she decided to transition away from sound engineering into a career in graphic design. While working at NPR, Sherene went back to school to study design at UCLA Extension.Her first position in graphic design was at Rocket XL, a boutique agency in Los Angeles, designing interactive websites and adding sound effects to Facebook applications and websites.

In Fall 2010, Sherene and her husband moved to New York City, finding bliss living a block away from Central Park. She currently works at Katz Marketing Solutions (a division of Clear Channel Radio) as a Multi-Media Graphic Designer. When tasked with the opportunity to re-design the Katz Marketing Solutions website, Joomla was the most logical choice. Sherene continues to work as a free-lance composer and designer at sweetnotes.com. Photographing and blogging about New York are a few of her new favorite pastimes.
