Gary Brooks

Gary Brooks is Chief Executive Officer and founder of a successful start-up “Joomla as a Service” cloud hosting company, CloudAccess.net, which provides instant Joomla sites delivered on the cloud. He is responsible for CloudAccess.net’s approach to building a services company around Joomla open source content management system (CMS), with a major focus on offering Joomla as an enterprise-ready application using cloud hosting technology.

CloudAccess.net delivers a ready-to-use, enterprise-level CMS to all types of businesses around the world. They also provide full service support for the CMS and third-party extensions as part of the service. Serving thousands of customers worldwide, CloudAccess.net integrates the industry's best technologies and delivers them all under one roof as a ready-to-go application. 

From 2001 to 2004, Gary was CEO of Northern Michigan Online. NMO was one of the first dial-up Internet Service Providers in Michigan, and they also built one of Michigan's first broadband wireless Internet networks to over a five-county area. Gary successfully connected many cities and municipalities to broadband, years before it would be available via cable or DSL. Additionally, Gary was the first to build a data center in Northern Michigan that connected to an fiber network provided by AT&T. Northern Michigan Online had over 6,000 business and residential customers and was one of Michigan's largest privately held Internet companies.
