He began in business at age 7 selling crafts to a local boutique. That business expanded in size to include catalog sales. From that point on he was always involved in business.

Scott became involved with the Internet in 1995 by developing a site for collectible dealers to market their wares. The site had live auctions, storefronts and content. His next large project was a review site for high end consumer goods where he created an unique indexing systems for the goods. That site closed soon after the death of its founder.

Presently Scott  advises companies big and small in all aspects of Internet related business. Introducing Joopal! (Drupal / Joomla)

Joopal (aka Drupla!) is a new CMS featuring the power of objects offered to you by Joomla! with the immense hook system delivered to you by Drupal.

Joopal is based on Joomla! 1.5 and features Drupal 6 the way PHP5 meant it to be done: with objects instead of globals and incredibly long function names. Joopal is compatible with the Drupal 6 functions and maintains all of those globals for backwards compatibility whilst providing a new object orientated approach to the functions you know and love.

Joopal permits you to use your traditional Drupal blocks anywhere a Joomla! module can do and also allows you to integrate Drupal's modules as if they were a normal Joomla! component.

"This talk will cover a number of high level topics including MVC (Model-View-Controller), Design Patterns, Structured Data, Core Methodologies, Revision Control and Specific Implementation Techniques. The session will be in a workshop format: attendees are encouraged to bring a laptop with an open connection to a Drupal or Joomla installation, as well as any specific questions about either system."

This workshop will be given by Forrest Mars and Scott Wolpow
