How to create a plugin

Plugin extensions in Joomla can be very simple yet extremely powerful. In this session, we will learn what plugins do, how they work, and we will create a couple of simple example plugins. This is for people familiar with Joomla but new to writing Joomla extensions in PHP. Some knowledge of PHP will be helpful. To get the most from this session, bring your laptops with a local Joomla 1.7 version installed so you can follow along with the examples.
