The reInvention of reCrib
The Recrib site proposes local people in NYC to sell their gently used Baby Gear. The site needed many new features like a decent cart system, a private messaging system and a sturdy checkout system for the buyers.
Instead of developing everything from A to Z, we decided to use the basic functions of existing components and adapt them for the task.
The site is based on the Ads Manager component, but none of the cart functions or their checkout mechanism was up to the task.
One of the basic components for the Cart management or Wishlist management is SimpleCaddy, internally rebaptised to SimpleCribby. Many of the functionalities have been redone or newly created, while the basic functions remained in place.
The new site features an integrated PM system, initiated by SimpleCaddy upon request. The PM system has been stripped of any personal identification so that buyers and seller NEED to go through the website to conclude a deal.description coming soon
